Editorial Policy
How we research, rate, update and correct our InstaFeet coverage, and how we keep commissions out of our verdicts.
In short
- All content is written and reviewed by the TheWikiFeet Editorial team and checked by an editor before publication.
- We rate platforms against six published criteria. Affiliate commissions never change a rating.
- We may use AI tools to help with drafting, but every article is reviewed and fact-checked by a human editor.
- Every page shows when it was last updated, and you can report errors through our contact page.
Who writes our content
All content on TheWikiFeet is produced by the TheWikiFeet Editorial team. Articles are researched and drafted by a writer, then reviewed by an editor for accuracy, clarity, fairness and reader safety before they are published. We publish under a shared team byline, and the standards on this page apply to everything we publish, whoever worked on it.
Our editorial principles
- Accuracy. We verify facts against primary sources and say so when something can’t be confirmed.
- Independence. Our editors decide what we cover and what we conclude. Neither InstaFeet nor any other company reviews or approves our content before publication.
- Balance. We report drawbacks and risks as clearly as benefits.
- Transparency. We disclose how we make money and how we use AI tools.
- Reader safety. We prioritize privacy, security and legal awareness, and we write only for adults 18 and older.
How we review and rate platforms
Our InstaFeet review, and any comparison we publish, uses the same framework. We start with the platform’s official website, terms of service, creator guidelines and help documentation, and where practical we look at the sign-up flow, creator dashboard and settings firsthand. We then assess the platform against six criteria:
| Criterion | What we look at |
|---|---|
| Creator tools | Storefront and profile setup, pricing options (subscriptions, one-off unlocks, custom requests), content management and messaging. |
| Privacy & safety | Anonymity options, how personal details are shielded from buyers, age and identity verification, content protection and reporting tools. |
| Payouts & fees | Platform fees or commission, payout methods, minimum thresholds, payout timing and how clearly all of this is disclosed. |
| Audience & demand | Whether the platform attracts buyers interested in feet content, how discoverable creators are and how much they must rely on outside promotion. |
| Ease of use | How quickly a new creator can get set up, the quality of the dashboard on desktop and mobile, and how clearly the rules are explained. |
| Support & policies | Availability and responsiveness of support, clarity of terms and content rules, and how disputes and chargebacks are handled. |
Each criterion is scored on a five-point scale. The overall rating is an editorial judgment informed by all six, with extra weight given to privacy and safety and to payouts and fees, because problems in those areas cost creators the most.
What our ratings are not
- They are not an average of user reviews. We never invent reviews, testimonials, reviewer names or statistics.
- They are not paid for. Commissions, and the size of any commission, play no part in a score.
- They are not permanent. A rating reflects the platform at the time of our latest review and can go up or down when we re-review it.
Sources and fact-checking
We prefer primary sources: the platform’s own website, terms and help pages; official guidance from government bodies and regulators, such as tax authorities and consumer-protection agencies, for general context; and reputable publications. Details that change often, such as fees, payout methods and eligibility rules, are checked against the official source at the time of writing and again whenever we update an article.
When we can’t independently confirm a claim, we say so or leave it out. Earnings figures are presented only as examples or ranges with context, never as promises. Where it helps readers, we link to the sources we used.
How we use AI tools
We believe readers deserve to know how our content is made. Our writers may use AI tools to help with tasks such as outlining, summarizing source material, suggesting structure or producing a first draft. AI tools never have the final word:
- Every article is reviewed, edited and fact-checked by a human editor before publication.
- Facts, figures and claims are verified against reliable sources, not taken on trust from AI output.
- Ratings, recommendations and opinions are decided by our editors, not generated by software.
- We don’t use AI to create fake reviews, testimonials, personas or images presented as real people.
The TheWikiFeet Editorial team takes full responsibility for everything published on TheWikiFeet, however it was drafted.
Updates and review dates
Platforms change their features, fees and rules, so we review our key pages periodically and whenever we learn of a significant change. Every page shows a “Last updated” date so you can see how current it is. Minor edits, such as fixing a typo or a broken link, may not change that date; substantive changes to facts, advice or ratings always do.
Corrections
If we get something wrong, we want to know. Report errors through our contact page, including the page address and what you believe is incorrect. We review every correction request and verify it against reliable sources. Where an error is confirmed, we fix it promptly and update the page date. If a correction materially changes a conclusion or rating, we note the change on the page.
Conflicts of interest
TheWikiFeet earns affiliate commissions when readers sign up to InstaFeet through our links. We manage that conflict of interest with these rules:
- Commissions never change our ratings, rankings or conclusions.
- We don’t accept payment or other incentives in exchange for coverage or for a particular verdict.
- InstaFeet has no editorial control and does not see our content before publication.
- We clearly disclose our affiliate relationships; see our Affiliate Disclosure.
- We don’t currently publish sponsored content. If that ever changes, it will be clearly labeled as sponsored.
Responsible content
We write for adults 18 and older, and we never publish content that involves or sexualizes minors. We don’t host explicit material. Our guides emphasize privacy, consent, personal safety and compliance with platform rules and local laws. Our content is general information, not legal, financial or tax advice; see our Disclaimer.
